This is the second of my large-format, full-color Argent cat series, and as a follow up to the more formal presentation and pose of the first image in Blue Boy, I wanted to attempt two things. First, to create a more flowing and movement-oriented pose. Plus, I wanted to attempt to design a long-haired animal using the hard-edged approach of the Argent Park animals. (A word on titles: While designing this piece my working title was always "Flame Cat". I knew I'd be using red as my main color choice, to separate the figure from the green of the wild underbrush, and that the design I'd come up with to represent long hair would therefore make for a flaming aspect to the entire body. However, with the very last thing to be done, the final airbrush application of the gray tonal background, the entire feel of the picture changed with the appearance of that hazy moon floating above, and "Stalking Moon" was clearly now the only title that would fit.

--Info on the printing process, plus care & feeding instructions--
This is an open-edition print, created from a film negative made directly from the original artwork, and printed by offset lithography on coated paper stock. Mounting and matting materials are either low-acid or acid-free. To maintain the quality of this work, do not display it where it will be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, or to extremes of temperature or humidity. I also recommend that you look at it once it is up on your wall (at least six times a week is considered the minimum), or else it will get sad and lonely, and the tear-stains will make it look less attractive.
