It's pretty obvious that I have a bot on my back, as evidenced by the fact that not only have I been accumulating (as opposed to "collecting", which is even more sadly serious) toy robots for several decades now, but I even turned that passion for weird little mechanical figures into an actual comic book in the mid-eighties called Mechthings, which ran for a glorious four issues of highly-detailed pen & ink fun and games. This crowded image is from the cover of the first issue, printed here without the logo and other type that obscured parts of the art, featuring the human lead Bertram and just a few of the funky robots who crowded into the strip! It's also one of my few full airbrush pieces. Gone but not forgotten, the Mechthings will live on forever on your wall if you pick up one of this very linited edition prints!

This is a limited-edition print, each copy signed & numbered by the artist. It is created from a film negative made directly from the original pen and ink artwork, then retouched by the artist, and printed by offset lithography on Coated Gloss paper stock. Mounting and matting materials are either low-acid or acid-free. To maintain the quality of this work, do not display it where it will be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, or to extremes of temperature or humidity. I also recommend that you look at it once it is up on your wall (at least six times a week is considered the minimum), or else it will get sad and lonely, and the tear-stains will make it look less attractive.
